Education Work
In addition to performing, Blossom Street also works in music education, and can offer workshops in a variety of environments, either in conjunction with a performance or as a separate entity. The singers draw on a wealth of experience; members of the group also work as teachers, animateurs, workshop leaders and conductors. Recently, the group has worked for the David Ross Education Trust, Door 84, Notting Hill and Ealing High School, Warwickshire County Music Service and at the National Centre for Early Music.

Workshops in Schools
Our workshops in schools can be tailored to any age range, and allow students the chance to learn new music and perform with professional singers. The sessions, which focus on teamwork and self-expression, include:

A variety of warm ups and games, both vocal and physical.

Cross-curricular activities.

Demonstrations and performances by members of Blossom Street.

A selection of songs and rounds, culminating in an informal performance to other classes, year groups and/or parents.
These workshops can function as one-off sessions, or as a longer project.
Workshops in Offices
Our workshops, catered for all ages and abilities, are designed as an opportunity for team building and forging relationships. Not only is singing an excellent way to relieve stress, but the workshops will also:

Discuss breathing and projection techniques, particularly useful for those whose roles include public speaking.

Allow staff to relate to one another regardless of their position within the company.

Create a fun and energised environment.
Blossom Street is available for a range of education projects. Depending on requirements, the group can provide between four and twenty four singers. The group also offers an arranging service: a professional composer will be happy to write a bespoke choral arrangement for your event or concert. In addition to its busy performance schedule, Blossom Street works regularly with a number of emerging composers, workshopping and recording their new music. The group is available to hire for both rehearsals and recordings, and also undertook a year long project, recording rehearsal aids for singers; see Chord Perfect for more details.
